BREI proudly introduces the BRE Fundamentals Course

BRE Fundamentals provide attendants the tools necessary to implement a BRE program and improve the economic state of their community.

BRE develops economic strategy recognized and utilized worldwide. BRE Fundamentals covers the essential information to coordinate a BRE program through an intensive two-day course. BRE practitioners and academics worldwide developed workshop materials by identifying the basics needed to implement and maintain a successful BRE program.

After the BRE Fundamentals course, you will know:

• if your community is ready to implement a BRE program
• what approach best suits your community
• evaluation techniques
• the next step

The BRE Fundamentals course educates through lectures, group discussions, group exercises and Q&A with established BRE practitioners.

Upon successful completion of the course, attendees earn the title of BRE Project Coordinator. This certification is a prerequisite to continuing training in other BRE programs.

Certification Levels

There are two levels of certification available to BREI members. The entry level certification is BRE Project Coordinator. It is obtained through the successful completion of the BRE Fundamentals course. This certification is good for a period of three years with continued membership. A member may be recertified at this level. Recertification Form

BREI also offers an advanced certification level of Business Retention and Expansion Professional (BREP). It is awarded to members completing a set of education requirements, participates in a BRE program and actively participates in the organization. Certification Form

Expanding on the Fundamentals

Broaden your skill set with six courses in the BR&E curriculum. The courses, in conjunction with other requirements, qualify you for recertification at BRE Project Coordinator, the next level of BREI certification, Business Retention Expansion Professional or recertification at the BREP level.
